Collecting NE Run Logs

You can use the OMU to collect NE run logs of the USM, MRP, and CCF. If you have used the VTS tool to collect fault information, skip this topic.

The run logs of an NE record the running information of each process, including the abnormality information used for fault location and cause analysis. Run logs are stored by version number and log files are named after the log file generation time.

  1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System.
  2. Choose Maintenance > File Transfer Service. The File Transfer Service window is displayed.
  3. Set Remote Directory to DEV log.
  4. In Remote File List, click the directory named after the faulty NE ID, and click the DEBUG directory.
  5. Download the run logs generated on the day when the fault occurred, as shown in Figure 3-7.
