Need to prepare an external FTP server, through the external FTP server will CHR download to the local, and then import sessioninsight, to achieve offline view MCU (V500R002C10) call history.

The FTP environment constructs may refer to Configuring the FTPS Server.

Downloading CHRs to the Local PC

  1. Log on to FileZilla Server.
  2. Choose Edit > Users, add new users, customize user names and passwords, such as the user name is Chruser and the password is Change_me, as shown in Figure 5-17.

  3. Set the CHR download path, and select a local path, such as D:\mcu\CHR4NE, as shown in Figure 5-18.

  4. Click OK to complete the FTP server side configuration.
  5. Log in to the MCU from PuTTY. The default user name is administrator and the default password is Change_Me.
  6. At the <HUAWEI VP9660> prompt,enter system-view chr-config and press Enter.
  7. At the CHR enable{0: disable; 1:enable}[0]: prompt,enter 1 and press Enter.
  8. Configuration FTP server address. At the CHR ftp server ip address{ipv4}[]: prompt,enter FTP server address and press Enter.
  9. Configuration FTP server port.At the CHR ftp server port{0~65535}[21]: prompt,enter 21012 and press Enter.
  10. Configuration user name. At the CHR ftp server user name{max len:32}[chrUser]: prompt,enter user name and press Enter.
  11. Configuration password. At the CHR ftp server user password[******]: prompt,enter password and press Enter.
  12. Configuration Sessioninsight Specify path below.At the CHR upload path[/MCU]: prompt, enter path name and press Enter.
  13. Configuration CHR upload cycle. At the CHR upload time{60~900}[300]:prompt, enter cycle and press Enter.
  14. Configuration CHR Media capture cycle. At the CHR collection time{5~900}[300]:prompt, enter capture cycle and press Enter.
  15. At the CHR need report SMC{0: off; 1:on}[0]: prompt, and press Enter.

    The following information is displayed:

    Info:set the CHR config finish!

  16. At the <HUAWEI VP9660> prompt, enter save and press Enter.

    The following information is displayed:

    "are you sure to save config?(y/n)", enter save and press Enter.

Uploading CHRs

  1. Log in to the SessionInsight.
  2. Add device information for offline NEs.


    The added device name can be used as an NE instance in the query criteria of the offline CHR query and analysis or as a name for the folder savingCHRs of the NE.

    1. On the home page of the SessionInsight, choose CHR Query > Offline CHR.

    2. In the navigation tree, choose Offline CHR Management > Offline Device.

    3. Click Add Device.

    4. In the Add Device dialog box, specify the following parameters:

      Name of a device. Use this parameter to distinguish the device from other NE devices.

      Users except user admin can create NE devices with the same name. User admin can view devices created by any user.


      Type of an added device.

    5. Click OK.

  3. Upload CHRs.

    1. In the navigation tree, choose Offline CHR Management > Offline CHR Upload.

    2. Click Create Task.

    3. Select the device name created in Step 2.4 from the Device name drop-down menu.

    4. Click Select File. In the displayed dialog box, select compressed CHR files (.zip and .tar.gz packages are supported). You can upload more than one .zip or .tar.gz packages at a time. You can upload a maximum of 10 compressed CHR files in each task.

      You are advised to compress multiple .tar.gz files into one .zip package to improve the upload efficiency.

    5. Click Upload.

      A message is displayed, indicating that the task is successfully created.

    6. Click in the task list to view the upload progress of each CHR package.
