This topic describes how to collect log information for the SE1000.

Collection Method

Operating system logs

  1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System. In the MML Command - CGP window, run LST OMUOMIP, and record the physical IP address of the OMU.
  2. Use the PuTTY to log in to the OMU as the cgpexpert user using the physical IP address.
  3. Run su - root to switch to the root user.
  4. Run last | more to query operating system login logs.
  5. Run more /var/log/messages to query error logs.
  6. Press Ctrl+C to exit the viewing mode.

OMU operation logs.

  1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System and choose System > Security Management. The security management navigation tree is displayed.
  2. In the security management navigation tree, choose Log > Operation Log.
