Downloading CHRs to the Local PC (in eSight Mode)

The CHR files of the TE10/TE20/TEX0/Bar 500/Board/Box series can be exported from the eSight. For details, see the following steps.

  1. Double-click filezilla.exe to start the FileZilla.

    NOTE:

    The FileZilla is used as an example to describe how to download files. You can obtain the FileZilla from http://filezilla-project.org.

  2. Set related parameters.

    Set this parameter to the IP address of the eSight server.

    User name

    Set the user name to chrUser and password to Changeme123 (default value).

    Password

    Port

  3. Click Quickconnect.
  4. Download the CHR file.

    In the Remote site area, set the destination directory /opt/eSight/AppBase/Data/ucc/terminalCHRFtp/CHR4SI on the eSight server,

    and click Upload to download the CHR file to the local PC.

TE10&TE20 Endpoints

  1. Log in to the TE10/TE20 web interface.
  2. Choose Maintenance > Diagnosis > One-Click Diagnosis.

    The One-Click Diagnosis dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click Start to start diagnosis.

    The diagnosis takes about 5 minutes.

  4. Click Download to save the diagnosis file to the local computer.

    The format of the downloaded log file is *.tgz. Compress the file into a .zip package.

TEX0 series endpoints

  1. Log in to the TEX0 web interface.
  2. Choose Maintenance > Diagnosis > CHR download.
  3. Click CHR download to obtain the CHR file of TEX0 series endpoints.

    The format of the downloaded log file is *.tar.gz

Uploading CHRs

  1. Log in to the SessionInsight.
  2. Add device information for offline NEs.

    NOTE:

    The added device name can be used as an NE instance in the query criteria of the offline CHR query and analysis or as a name for the folder savingCHRs of the NE.

    1. On the home page of the SessionInsight, choose CHR Query > Offline CHR.

    2. In the navigation tree, choose Offline CHR Management > Offline Device.

    3. Click Add Device.

    4. In the Add Device dialog box, specify the following parameters:

      Name of a device. Use this parameter to distinguish the device from other NE devices.

      Users except user admin can create NE devices with the same name. User admin can view devices created by any user.

      Type

      Type of an added device.

    5. Click OK.

  3. Upload CHRs.

    1. In the navigation tree, choose Offline CHR Management > Offline CHR Upload.

    2. Click Create Task.

    3. Select the device name created in Step 2.4 from the Device name drop-down menu.

    4. Click Select File. In the displayed dialog box, select compressed CHR files (.zip and .tar.gz packages are supported). You can upload more than one .zip or .tar.gz packages at a time. You can upload a maximum of 10 compressed CHR files in each task.

      You are advised to compress multiple .tar.gz files into one .zip package to improve the upload efficiency.

    5. Click Upload.

      A message is displayed, indicating that the task is successfully created.

    6. Click in the task list to view the upload progress of each CHR package.
