Collecting CHRs

Call History Records (CHRs) record key call information, such as the user number and call release reason. By collecting CHRs, you can respond to customer complaints quickly and perform real-time network monitoring, network running status analysis, and troubleshooting in a timely manner.

When collecting fault information, comply with local laws and the user privacy policies set down by carriers and take sufficient measures to ensure that personal data and other sensitive information are fully protected.

Configuring the USM

  1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System.
  2. Select CGP from the ME drop-down list box. The MML Command - CGP window is displayed.
  3. Check the CHR function configuration.

    The result is as follows

    By default, CHR transmission switch is set to OFF and CHR offline collection flag is set to NO. The system generates CHRs in the local directory /opt/HUAWEI/cgp/workshop/omu/share/export/pm/CHR of the OMU.

  4. Select USM from the ME drop-down list box. The MML Command - USM window is displayed.
  5. Configure the CHR output policy.

    Set key parameters as follows:

    • CHR output policy for register: Select FRF(First Register Failure), RRF(Refresh Register Failure), and LOF(Log-Off Failure).
    • CHR output policy for calls: Select FCDF(Failed call caused by devices) and FCUA(Failed call caused by user behaviors).

    SET CHRPLCY: REGCHRPLCY=FRF-1&RRF-1&LOF-1&RS-0&LOS-0, CALLCHRPLCY=FCDF-1&FCUA-1&SC-0, ANMSUCCCHR=Y, ANMFAILCHR=Y;

Downloading CHRs

  1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System.
  2. Choose Maintenance > File Transfer Service.
  3. In the File Transfer Service window, download the directory or file for the corresponding date from the /opt/HUAWEI/cgp/workshop/omu/share/export/pm/CHR directory, as shown in Figure 3-8.

Using the CHR Data Pre-Processing Tool to View CHRs

  1. Obtain the CHR Data Pre-Processing Tool to the local PC.
  2. Double-click startup.bat.

    The CHR Data Pre-Processing Tool page is opened in a web browser.

  3. Set parameters, as shown in Figure 3-9.

  4. View parsed files in the specified output path. Table 3-5 describes the parameters in CHRs.
