Changing the SC Connection Password

To manage an SC on the SMC2.0, you must configure the SC connection password. To ensure the SC security, you must change the connection password as soon as the SC is installed.


  1. Run the SSH tool. Log in to the SC as the admin user.
  2. Change the connection password.

    account password-smc old-password old-password new-password new-password new-password-confirm new-password-confirm

    • old-password: current password
    • new-password: new password
    • new-password-confirm: confirmation of the new password (Enter the new password again.)
    If the password is changed successfully, the message execute success is displayed. If the password fails to be changed, the message execute failed and the failure cause are displayed.


Change the connection password on the SMC2.0 and check whether the SC is online. If the SC is online, the SC connection password is changed successfully.
