Updating the OfficeScan Server
You can manually obtain the latest server components and virus library or enable the OfficeScan server to automatically obtain them from the Trend Micro ActiveUpdate server or from a specified update source.
The operation procedure is as follows:
- Click Start. Then click
on the Start page.
- Choose to access the OfficeScan Web Console login page.
- Enter the user name and the login password, and click Log on.
The login password is set during OfficeScan server installation.
- Configure the update source.

The Server Update Source window is displayed.
. - Configure the update source in the Download Updates From area, and click Save.
The message "Successfully changed configuration settings." is displayed.

- Set the update mode.
Automatic update mode

The Server Scheduled Update window is displayed.
. - Select Enable scheduled update of the OfficeScan server.
- Set parameters in the Components to Update and Update Schedule areas, and click Save.
The message "Successfully changed configuration settings." is displayed.
The OfficeScan server will automatically update the server components and virus library at the scheduled time.
Manual update mode

The Server Manual Update window is displayed.

The OfficeScan server starts to update the server components and virus library immediately.
