Enabling SIP over TLS

Enabling SIP over TLS

Before connecting RSE6500 to a third-party system using TLS, obtain the TLS certificate and import the certificate to RSE6500.

TLS is a mechanism for ensuring the security of encrypted transmission of SIP signaling. RSE6500 enables SIP over TLS by default. Ensure that SIP over TLS is enabled when convening a signaling encrypted conference.

  1. Log in to the RSE6500 web interface.
  2. Choose System > System Settings > Protocol > SIP.
  3. Select TLS from the Transmission type drop-down list box.
  4. Click Save.

To enable SIP over TLS, you can also run the system-view sip-server command and set SIP Server protocol type{0:UDP 1:TCP 2:TLS} to 2. For details, see the HUAWEI RSE6500 V500R002C00 Command Reference.
