CloudMCU Account Management

Creating/Modifying/Deleting a Web Account

All web accounts have the same operation rights on the web interface. Only the system default user admin can create or delete other user accounts, but the admin account itself cannot be deleted.

  1. Log in to the CloudMCU web interface as the admin user.
  2. Choose System > Users.
  3. Click New.

    • You can click or next to an account to delete the account or modify account information.
    • The admin account is the system default account and cannot be used as the account of the new user.

  4. Enter the account information as prompted.
  5. Click Save.

Changing the Web Account Password

You are advised to change the web account password periodically to ensure account safety. The password must meet complexity requirements. The default validity period of the web account password is 90 days. To change the password validity period, choose System > Security and set Web user password validity period (90-365 days).

  1. Open the Internet Explorer, enter the CloudMCU IP address in the address box, for example,, and press Enter.

    The login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 2-7.

  2. Enter the user name and password and click Log In.


    The default values of User name and Password are admin and Change_Me respectively. If you enter incorrect passwords for five consecutive times, your account will be locked for five minutes. If you log in to the CloudMCU web interface using the default password, the Change Password page is displayed. Change the password as prompted. Alternatively, go to 3 to change the password.

  3. Click the user name at the upper right corner of the page and choose Change Password.
  4. On the Figure 2-8 page, change the password.


    The password must be six characters to sixteen characters and contain at least two types of the following characters: digits, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and special characters.

  5. Click Save.
