Enabling BFCP-based Encryption

Enabling BFCP-based Encryption

The VP9600 series MCUs support SIP-based presentation communication through the Binary Floor Control Protocol(BFCP) protocol. TLS functions as a security mechanism to ensure BFCP signaling encryption transmission. To ensure interoperability, BFCP automatically selects the transmission protocol by default. When you hold an encrypted conference, it is recommended that you use the TLS protocol for the VP9600 series MCUs and videoconferencing endpoints to improve communication security.

  1. Use the PuTTY tool to log in to a VP9600 series MCU.
  2. After the <HUAWEI VP9650> prompt, enter system-view conf-policy bfcp-trans-type and press Enter.

    The following information is displayed:

    Bfcp Trans Type{0:AUTO 1:UDP 2:TLS}[0]:

  3. Enter 2 and press Enter.
  4. After the <HUAWEI VP9650> prompt, enter save and press Enter.

    The following information is displayed:

are you sure to save config?(y/n)

  5. Enter y and press Enter.
