Enabling H.235 Encryption

This topic describes how to set the parameters used for setting up the connection between the MCU and the GK. The MCU can be registered with the embedded GK or other GKs.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > H.323 and SIP > Gatekeeper.

    The Gatekeeper page is displayed, as shown in Figure 6-7.

  2. Set GK parameters. Select Enable H.235 encryption.

    NOTE:
    • To ensure security, select Enable H.235 encryption if the GK server with which the MCU is to be registered enables H.235 encryption and uses the password authentication mode.
    • After Enable H.235 encryption is selected, the MCU automatically enables the Enable H.245 channel function for H.323 to improve communication security.

  3. Click OK.
