User bin helps comply with the Portable Operating System Interface Standard (POSIX).

The parameter shell is set to /bin/false for bin.

The user is forbidden to log in and it is recommended that the password be not changed. To change the password temporarily, log in as the root user, you can run the passwd User name command as prompted. After the operation, run the passwd -d User name command to delete the password to ensure the user security in the MCU main process.

news

User news can access various news server and monitor news-related processes.

man

User man operates the manual pages viewer.

nobody

User nobody operates the Network File System (NFS) service.

messagebus

User messagebus implements the D-BUS service.

sshd

User sshd implements the Secure Shell (SSH) service.

polkituser

User polkituser implements the PolicyKit service.

haldaemon

User haldaemon implements the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) service.

mcumain

User news can access CloudMCU server.

User news can access CloudMCU server.

root

User root uses the SNMP protocol to manage and maintain multi-function switch boards, for example, checking alarms and performance measurement.

  1. Log in to the CloudMCU using VM console and run the su - root command to switch to the root user.
  2. Run the passwd command and change the password as prompted.

The default password is cnp200@HW.

ntp

User ntp is used for the NTP service.

The parameter shell is set to /bin/false for bin.

This account has been forbidden to log in to the host operating system. It is not recommended that you change the password for this account. If the password needs to be changed, run passwd user name.

cgpexpert

User cgpexpert is the dedicated account used during routine operation and maintenance for a VM.

Log in to the CloudMCU using VM console, run the passwd command, and change the password as prompted.

The default password is mt2013@HW.

  3. Click Save.

User name, authentication password, and encryption password used by the CloudMCU to connect to the trap server when sending alarm packets.

  1. Log in to the CloudMCU web interface and choose System > SNMP.
  2. Modify the setting of Trap authentication password and Trap encryption password.
  3. Click Save.

Account used for authentication when the MCU is upgraded through the SMC2.0 or the SMC2.0 sends automatic check requests as a client.

The administrator account has the common CloudMCU administrator rights, for the subsequent third party network management extension.

  1. Log in to the CloudMCU web interface and choose System > Management.
  2. Modify the setting of Upgrade connection password.
  3. Click Save.
