  1. Open the browser, enter https://IP address of the iBMC in the address box, and press Enter to access the iBMC web interface.
  2. Click Reset to change the password.

Accounts at the System Layer

Operating system user who is depended by services

smc20_service_user

Change_Me

User name of the account created when the SMC2.0 installed. Operation of SMC2.0 services depends on the user.

SMC2.0 services depend on this account. If this account is modified, the password of SMC2.0 services and the operation account of the IIS need to be together modified.
  • If you add this account to the local group during SMC2.0 pre-installation or self-installation, change the account password in the Control Panel on the server.
  • If the user has been added to a domain during self-installation, change the account password on the AD server.

Operating system user who is depended by FTP server

ftpuser

Change_Me

User name of the account that is used when the SMC2.0 functions as the FTP server. The SFTP protocol is used for communication.

If the password of user ftpuser on the SMC2.0 is changed, you still need to perform the following operations:

  • Change the password of the ftp account on the terminal by referring to Configuring the FTP Address Book. (Perform this operation on all terminals.)
  • Change the password of the ftp account on the VP9600 series MCU of V600R019C00 by referring to VP9600 Series MCU Account List(V600R019C00).
  1. Log in to the SMC2.0 server.
  2. Choose Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Add or remove user accounts.
  3. Click Reset Password to change the password.

Default guest user of the operating system

This account is not used by the SMC2.0. After SMC2.0 security is hardened, this account is disabled.

Operating system account

BUILTIN\Users

Default account group of the operating system. When you install the SQL Server database on the Windows operating system, the account group of the operating system is added to the database by default.

Login account. After the SMC2.0 is hardened, users can only access the SMC2.0 database on the local server in Windows authentication mode thorough the database access software, for example, SQL Server Management Studio.

Login account that is used by the SMC2.0 to access the database in SQL Server Authentication mode.

dbmaster

Default superuser account of the SQL Server. After the SMC2.0 is hardened, the user name of the account is changed, and the account is disabled.

To modify the account information, on the SMC2.0 web interface, choose System > Settings > General and set the account parameters.

Authentication account for alarm report on the private network endpoints

Account that is used for the TE30, TE40, TE50, TE60, or TX50 videoconferencing endpoint to connect to the SMC2.0 to send alarm packets when the SMC2.0 functions as the trap server of the endpoint.

To modify the account information, on the SMC2.0 web interface, choose System > Settings > General and set the account parameters.
