Disabling the Login in Telnet Mode

Disabling the Login in Telnet Mode

You are not allowed to log in to RSE6500 using Telnet by default, because Telnet is an unencrypted remote protocol. If Telnet is enabled on the RSE6500 you use, you are advised to disable Telnet and use SSH to log in.

  1. Log in to the web interface of RSE6500.
  2. Choose System > System Settings > Network > Telnet.
  3. Clear the check box next to Enable Telnet.
  4. Click Save.

To disable the login in Telnet mode, you can also run the system-view telnet-switch command and perform as prompted. For details, see the HUAWEI RSE6500 V500R002C00 Command Reference.
