Message "Operation timed out" Returned

Symptom

After an MML command is run in the MML Command - CGP window of the client, error 483007 Operation timed out is displayed.

Possible Causes

The processing result from the corresponding module is not received within the specified timeout duration.

Fault Diagnosis

  • Check whether the timeout duration set for the MML command execution is too short.
  • Check whether the OMU modules are operating properly.

Procedure

  1. Log in to HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System. Choose Maintenance > Timeout Settings and Timeout Settings dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 5-7. It is recommended to set MML command timeout (seconds) to 600. The value of MML command timeout (seconds) ranges from 20 to 7200, and the default value is 180.

  2. After the setting, click OK.
  3. In the MML Command - CGP window of the client, run the MML command that has timed out. Wait for 10 minutes, and then check whether Operation timed out is displayed.

    • Yes: Go to 4.
    • No: No further action is required.

  4. In the MML Command - CGP window of the client, run DSP OMU to check whether all the modules are operating properly.

    • Yes: Go to 5.
    • No: Go to 6.

  5. In the MML Command - CGP window of the client, run the MML command that has timed out. Wait for 10 minutes, and then check whether "Operation timed out" is displayed.

    • Yes: Go to 6.
    • No: No further action is required.

  6. Use the Information Collection Tool to collect items in Common fault analysis scenario.
  7. Contact Huawei technical support engineers to rectify the fault.
