Incorrect Display on the OMU Web Portal(CGPVirtualization)

Symptom

The OMU Web portal is incorrectly displayed as follows:

  • The page layout is in disorder.
  • Some controls are missing.
  • The page content is incorrect. For example, the web page still displays the original content even if the web functions have been changed.
  • A message indicating that the user has logged in to the system is displayed when the user is forcibly logged out of the system and then attempts to re-log in to it.

Possible Causes

The data in the browser cache is not deleted.

Fault Diagnosis

The css, Javascript, and html data is kept in the browser cache.

Procedure

    1. Clear the browser cache and check whether the OMU Web portal is displayed correctly.

      • For Internet Explorer: Choose Tools > Clear History on the toolbar. On the displayed dialog box, select all the items and click Yes.
      • For Google Chrome:
        1. Click Customize and control Google Chrome at the upper right corner of the Web browser.
        2. Choose History.
        3. Click Clear browsing data, select the time duration for Obliterate the following items from, and select the items to be cleared.
        4. Click Clear browsing data.
      • For Firefox (take version 43 as an example):
        1. Choose History > Clear Recent History from the menu bar.
        2. Specify the Time range to clear and Details. Then, click Clear Now.
      • Yes: No further action is required.
      • No: go to 2.
