Terminal HTTP Access Fault

Symptom

The message "Incorrect account or password." or "Server connection timed out. Check the network settings." is displayed during terminal login or the login fails.

Possible Causes

  • The user name or password is incorrect.
  • The IP address or port number of the uPortal server is incorrectly configured.
  • The network between terminals and the uPortal server is faulty.
  • The terminal access configuration is incorrect and missing.

Troubleshooting Method

  • Check the configuration.
  • Check the network.

Procedure

  1. If the message "Incorrect account or password." is displayed, verify that the user name and password are correct. Contact the administrator for confirmation if necessary.
  2. If the message "Server connection timed out. Check the network settings." is displayed, verify that the IP address and port number of the uPortal server are correctly configured on the login setting page.
  3. Use commands such as ping and telnet to check whether the network between terminals and the uPortal server is connected. If no, rectify any network fault.
  4. View terminal login logs. Determine the step or process in which the login fails based on exception information. Based on the log content, check whether the terminal access configuration is incorrect or missing. Verify all related configurations.
