MCU Interworking Fault

MCU Interworking Fault

The USM fails to connect to the MCU. Conferences cannot be held in the hosted scenario.

Possible Causes

  • The MCU is not registered.
  • The MCUL link is faulty.

Troubleshooting Method

The MCU connects to the USM using the following two steps. You can locate the fault based on the steps.

  1. The MCU initiates registration using SIP messages.
  2. After registration, the USM connects to the MCU as a TCP client.

  1. Run the DSP MCU command to check whether the MCU is registered.
    • Yes: Go to 2.
    • No: Enable SIP message tracing (ensure that the REGISTER message is selected). Check whether REGISTER messages are received from the MCU. If no, check related configurations on the MCU.
  2. Run the DSP MCUL command to check whether the MCUL link is normal.
    • Yes: The fault is not an MCU interworking fault.
    • No: Verify that the MCU IP address and the password are correctly configured on the MCUL.
