Fault Location

The objective of registration is to register the contact address on the server.

Background Information

The general registration process is as follows:

  1. The system receives the registration request from terminals, containing the (optional) authentication information and contact information, and extract the information.
  2. The system filters the information based on the blacklist and whitelist and determines registration requests from which terminals can be processed.
  3. The system determines whether to authenticate the terminals based on the information carried by the terminals. If yes, authenticate the registration terminals based on their authentication information.
  4. Register the information about the NE that is successfully registered.
  5. Return the registration success result to the terminals.

Locating the Fault

  1. Verify that the network is properly connected.
  2. Verify that parameters settings, for example, registration server IP address of the node that is registered with the SC is correct.
  3. Check whether the SC has local license. If no, check whether the SMC2.0 has floating license.
  4. If number allocation registration is used, verify that the account information of the registered node is correct. If dynamic registration is used, verify that the node zone authentication policy on the SC is set to non-authentication.
  5. Capture packets on the SC to check signaling interaction.
