Interworking Fault Between the uPortal and Peripheral NEs

Interworking Fault Between the uPortal and Peripheral NEs

Symptom

  • Recording rights fail to be configured. The system prompts you to check the file server configuration.
  • IP phones fail to be added. The system prompts you to check the TMS configuration.

Possible Causes

Peripheral NE configurations are missing or the configurations are incorrect.

Troubleshooting Method

Check the peripheral NE configurations as prompted.

Procedure

  • Check the file server configuration.
    1. Run the DSP FSLNK command in the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System to view the file server status.
      %%DSP FSLNK:;%%
      RETCODE = 170636 The record does not exist.
    2. If the file server is not configured, run the ADD FS and ADD FSLNK commands to add the file server configuration.
      %%ADD FS: FSNAME="1", FSTYPE=RECORD, MOUNTDIR="recording";%%
      RETCODE = 0  Operation succeeded

      %%ADD FSLNK: LNKNAME="1", FSNAME="1", FSADDR="10.175.4.178", FSDIR="/opt/voicefile";%%
      RETCODE = 0  Operation succeeded
    3. If the file server status is abnormal, perform the following operations:
      1. Check whether the file server configuration is correct. If no, modify the configuration.
      2. Check whether the file server is reachable through the network. If no, rectify any network fault.
      3. Verify that the client service is enabled for the PMU VM of the uPortal.
      4. Verify that the access rights and file read/write rights are enabled on the file server.
      ECGPVM-F63S05:/opt/UPORTAL2800/common/run_log/PMU # service nfsserver status
      Checking for kernel based NFS server:
      idmapd                                               running
      mountd                                               running
      statd                                                running
      nfsd                                                 running
  • Check the TMS configuration.
    1. Run the LST SNECFG: NETYPE=TMSTR69 command in the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System to view the TMS configuration.
      %%LST SNECFG: NETYPE=TMSTR69;%%
      RETCODE = 0  Operation succeeded
    2. If the TMS is not configured, add the TMS configuration.
      %%ADD SNECFG: NETYPE=TMSTR69, SERVICENAME="tmstr.huawei.com", ACCOUNT="tmstr069", PASSWORD="*****";%%
      RETCODE = 0  Operation succeeded
    3. If the TMS is configured, check whether the TMS configuration is correct. If no, modify the configuration.
