iOS Push Function Is Unavailable


After the eSpace Mobile is switched to the background on an iOS device, the system fails to push messages to the eSpace Mobile.

Possible Causes

The possible causes are as follows:

  • Related ports are blocked on the firewall.
  • The iOS push certificate expires.

Troubleshooting Method

1. Check the network between the MAA and the Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

2. Verify that the iOS push certificate is valid.


  1. Run the following commands on the MAA to check the network between the MAA and the APNs.



    • In the preceding commands, and are the domain name of the APNS.
    • If the connection fails, contact the administrator to open the port 443.

  2. Check the iOS push certificate.

    1. Log in to the BMU management system as the admin user.
    2. Choose System > Push Certificate Management > iOS Service Configuration.
    3. On the iOS Certificate Information tab page, view the iOS certificate information, as shown in Figure 9-31.

      If the certificate expires, obtain the latest iOS push certificate from the latest version or patch version package.
