This section describes how to configure power distribution for the NIP6860.

DC Power Distribution Guide

This section describes how to select DC power distribution cables and circuit breakers of the DC PDF.

Figure 2-46 shows the DC PEMB.

To protect power supplies of different levels, it is recommended that the current of the circuit breaker on the user side be greater than or equal to that of the circuit breaker of the power module (70 A).

To support the maximum configuration, it is recommended that each DC power line should provide a minimum of 60 A current.

If the PDF cannot provide 70 A circuit breakers and full configuration is unnecessary, select the circuit breaker of each DC line using the following formula (A1,A2,B1,B2).

I: rated current of the circuit breaker of each line on the PDF, in Ampere (A).

P: total power of each device.

Vin: input voltage of the power supply. (38 < Vin < 72)

D: derating coefficient. The recommended coefficient is 0.8.

2: number of the input lines of power module.

AC Power Distribution Guide

This section describes AC power distribution and AC cable matchings.

NOTE:

If the customer uses a purchased three-core cable, the ground core does not need to be connected to the ground terminal on the device. This is because the ground terminal on the device has already been connected to a separate ground cable, ensuring that the device is properly grounded.

Figure 2-47 shows the AC power module. AC power input is converted into regulated DC power through an AC/DC converter. The resulting DC power output is connected to the PEMs through external cables to supply power to all boards and fan modules.

It is recommended that the current specifications of the circuit breakers on the PDF or distribution box be no less than 16 A
