Possible Causes

  • The standby node is powered off.
  • The network is faulty.
  • The OS of the standby node is abnormal.
  • The HA process on the standby node is not started.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Service OM web client.

For details, see Logging In to and Logging Out of Service OM.

  2. On Service OM, choose Services > Computing > ECS > Compute Instances.

    • If yes, go to 7.

    • If no, go to 4.

  5. Run the following command and enter the password of user root as instructed to switch to the root user:

    su - root

The default password of user root is Huawei@CLOUD8!.

  6. After environment variables are imported, run the following command to restart the standby Service OM VM:

    nova reboot FM_ID

FM_ID indicates the ID of the standby Service OM VM. On the VMs tab page of the Computing Instances page, you can view the VM ID.

  7. Wait for about 15 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
