Impact on the System

Users fail to create IMS image buckets.

Possible Causes

The following three causes may lead to this event:

  1. The OBS IP address and port are incorrectly configured in Combined API.
  2. The shadow tenant of this user is restricted due to the faulty Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  3. The OBS service is unavailable due to the OBS fault, which, as a result, leads to the creation of bucket fails.

The first and third issues rarely occur. In most cases, the second issue is the event cause.

Procedure

  1. Use a browser to log in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal.

    • The login address is https://Address for accessing the homepage of ManageOne Maintenance Portal:31943, for example, https://oc.type.com:31943
    • Default username: admin; default password: Huawei12#$

  2. Click Login.
  3. On the menu bar in the upper part of the page, choose Alarms. The Event Logs page is displayed.
  4. In the list, locate and click the target event name in the Name column. The Event Details and Proposed Processing dialog box is displayed.
  5. Query the following event information:

    • ID
    • Event Source
    • IP Address
    • Location information (including the tenant ID, job ID, and error code)
    • Additional information (including the service name, host IP address, UDS address, UDS port, region ID, and bucket name)

  6. Perform one of the following operations based on the value of ErrorCode:

    • If ErrorCode is IMG.1025 or IMG.1007, Combined API fails to call the IAM API to obtain the IMS public account information. Contact technical support for assistance.
    • If ErrorCode is IMG.1026, Combined API fails to call the IAM permission escalation API. Contact technical support for assistance.
    • If ErrorCode is IMG.1029, Combined API fails to call the OBS API to create a bucket for the shadow tenant. Go to 7.
    • If ErrorCode is IMG.1030, Combined API fails to call the OBS API to grant the system accounts read and write permissions of the shadow tenant's bucket. Go to 7.

  7. Use PuTTY to log in to the CPT-SRV01 or CPT-SRV02 node.

Login address: Host IP address of the additional information obtained in 5.

Default username: apicom; default password: Huawei12#$

  8. Run the following command to prevent PuTTY logout upon timeout:

    TMOUT=0

  9. Run the following commands to search for the task ID from taskmgr_ims_executor.log:

    cd /var/log/imcs/taskmgr/ims/

    grep jobId taskmgr_ims_executor.log

In the log, search for the error code is XXX to obtain the error code.

  10. Perform operations based on the error code value.

    • If the error code is -1, the OBS server cannot be connected. Go to 11.
    • If the error code is 403, the tenant is not authorized. Go to 13.
    • If the error code is other values, contact technical support for assistance.

  11. Run the following command to check whether the values of ims.uds.https.address and ims.uds.http.address in file taskmgr-config.properties are the same as the IP address and port of the OBS server:

    cd /opt/imcs/tomcat/taskmgr/WEB-INF/classes/
    • If yes, go to 12.
    • If no, change the values of ims.uds.http.address and ims.uds.https.address in the Combined API configuration file taskmgr-config.properties to the IP address and port of the OBS server in use and create the image bucket again.
      • If the image bucket is successfully created, no further action is required.
      • If the image bucket creation fails, go to 12.

  12. Check whether OBS is running correctly.

    • If yes, contact technical support for assistance.
    • If no, after the OBS server fault is rectified, contact the user for whether to create the image bucket again. At the same time, clear the event.

  13. Check whether the shadow tenant is authorized.

    • If yes, locate and change the shadow tenant to a common user. Then, contact the user for whether to create the image bucket again. At the same time, clear the event.
