ALM-100551 LVS Services Interrupted

ALM-100551 LVS Services Interrupted

This alarm is generated when MORCLVSService detects that the LVS is not started and fails to be restarted. MORCLVSService periodically checks the operating status of the LVS.

Alarm Attribute

Alarm ID

Alarm Severity

Alarm Type

Processing error

Indicates the name of the service that reports alarms.

IP Address

Indicates the IP address of the server on which a service reports the alarm.

Impact on System

SNMP alarms depending on the LVS cannot be reported.

Probable Causes

  • A system error or system file damage occurs.
  • Other services on the node where MORCLVSService is deployed are using the keepalived process.

The keepalived process is used to switch the active/standby status of the node where LVS is deployed.

Handling Procedure

  1. Check whether the keyword "error" is displayed in the printing information of the /var/log/messages log on the node where MORCLVSService is deployed.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the regionAlias-ManageOne-Service01 node using the IP address of the node.

Default account: sopuser; default password: D4I$awOD7k

    2. Run the following command to switch to the root user:

      sudo su - root

      Default password: Changeme_123

    3. Run the following command and then check whether the keyword error is displayed in the command output:

      cat /var/log/messages | grep "*error*"

      • If yes, contact technical support for assistance.
      • If no, go to 2.

  2. Run the following command to check whether other services on the node are using the keepalived process:

    ps -ef | grep keepalive | grep -v "RCLVSService/lvs_install" | grep -v "grep" | awk '{print $2}'

If any command output is displayed, other services are using the keepalived process.

    • If yes, contact technical support for assistance to deploy MORCLVSService on another node so that MORCLVSService uses the keepalived process exclusively.
    • If no, contact technical support for assistance and deploy MORCLVSService again.

Alarm Clearance

This alarm will be automatically cleared after the fault is rectified.
