  • The network between the NTP server on the backup server and the NTP client on the backup proxy is abnormal, or the time difference between the backup server and backup agent exceeds 60 seconds.
  • The NTP server on the backup server is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Possible cause 1: The network between the NTP server on the backup server and the NTP client on the backup proxy is abnormal, or the time difference between the backup server and backup agent exceeds 60 seconds.

    1. Refer to Logging In to the eBackup Server to log in to backup server.
    2. Run the su root command. Enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. Check the connectivity between the backup proxy and backup server. For an IPv4 address, run the ping the IP address of the backup proxy command. For an IPv6 address, run the ping6 the IP address of the backup proxy command to check whether the backup proxy can be pinged.
      • If yes, 1.d.
      • If no, contact the equipment room administrator to recover the network connectivity and ensure that the network connection is normal.
    4. Log in to the backup server GUI using a browser.

      Login address: https://IP address corresponding to the datamover_management_float_ip field:8088

      Default account: admin. Default password: Cloud12#$ for installation using HUAWEI CLOUD Stack Deploy, and PXU9@ctuNov17! for manual installation.

    5. Choose Monitor > Servers.
    6. Choose the server whose NTP status is asynchronous and click Synchronize Time on the right panel.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, 2.

  2. Possible cause 2: The NTP server on the backup server is abnormal.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the backup proxy through the IP address reported by the alarm.

      Default account: hcp. Default password: PXU9@ctuNov17!.

    2. Run the su root command. Enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. Run the cd /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/cli;sh hcpcli.sh admin command to log in to CLI.
    4. In the setting view, run the change ntp server command with the IP address of the backup proxy to reset the NTP server.
    5. In the setting view, run the synchronize time all command to synchronize the time again.
