Changing the Account Passwords for Component or Service Interconnection

Changing the Account Passwords for Component or Service Interconnection

Scenarios

If the account password of the component or service interconnected with Combined API is changed, you must change the password recorded in the configuration file on the Combined API service node to ensure normal communications between Combined API and the interconnected component or service.

Specifically, if the account password of the following component or service is changed, you need to change the password in the configuration file on the Combined API service node:

  • Account for interconnecting with Service OM to report alarms
  • Account for interconnecting with IAM

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained a tool, such as PuTTY, used for remote access on various platforms.
  • You have obtained the new account password of the interconnected component or service.
  • You have obtained the management IP address and password of user apicom of the Combined API service node.

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the CPT-SRV01 node using the IP address corresponding to the CPT-SRV01 field (searching in the parameter summary file xxx_export_all_EN.xlsm), and log in to the CPT-SRV02 node using the IP address corresponding to the CPT-SRV02 field (searching in the parameter summary file xxx_export_all_EN.xlsm).

Default account: apicom; default password: Huawei12#$

  2. Run the following command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root:

The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    sudo su root

  3. Run the following commands to run the encryption tool:

    cd /opt/apicom/tomcat/taskmgr/WEB-INF/classes/tools

    source /etc/profile

java -jar wcc_crypter.jar -t encrypt Password

  4. Enter the new account password and press Enter. The system automatically generates the password ciphertext.

    Record the password ciphertext.

  5. Run the following command to open the configuration file:

    vi /opt/apicom/tomcat/taskmgr/WEB-INF/classes/taskmgr-config.properties

  6. Press i to enter the editing mode.
  7. Modify the parameters in the configuration file.

    NOTE:

To change the account password for interconnecting with OperationCenter, set alarm.value to the password ciphertext after encryption.

To change the account password for interconnecting with IAM, set iam.auto.password to the password ciphertext after encryption.

  8. Press Esc, enter :wq, and press Enter.

Save the change and exit the vi editor.

  9. Run the following command to query the Tomcat process ID:

    ps -ef | grep tomcat

  10. Run the following command to stop the Tomcat process whose ID is queried in 9:

    kill -9 $PID

Set $PID to the Tomcat process ID. For example, if the process ID is 62666, run the kill -9 62666 command.

  11. Run the following commands to restart the service:

    cd /opt/apicom/tomcat/bin

    sh startup.sh

    NOTE:

If Zabbix monitoring services are enabled, the system automatically restarts the Tomcat process after detecting that it is stopped.
