Parameters

Parameter Name

Parameter Description

serviceName

Specifies the name of the service that reports the alarm.

namespace

Specifies the namespace of the service that reports the alarm.

Instancename

Specifies the name of the service instance for which the alarm is reported.

srvAddr

Specifies the access address of the service that reports the alarm.

Impact on the System

Construction tasks fail to be executed using S2I.

System Actions

This alarm is automatically cleared when construction tasks are all executed in the queue.

Possible Causes

Too many construction tasks are being executed in the queue. As a result, new tasks cannot be executed.

Procedure

  1. Check the number of construction tasks being executed.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the manage_lb1_ip node.

The default username is paas, and the default password is QAZ2wsx@123!.

    2. Run the following command and enter the password of the root user to switch to the root user:

      su - root

      Default password: QAZ2wsx@123!

    3. Run the following command to check whether the S2I job pod is running properly:

      kubectl get pod -n{namespace} |grep s2ijob

{namespace} is the ID of source2image, which you can obtain it by running kubectl get ns -oyaml |grep source2image -C 1 command.

If the status of the S2I job process is Running, the S2I job pod is running properly.

Information similar to the following is displayed, in which s2ijob-76-ffmts indicates the pod name of the S2I job process:

      s2ijob-76-ffmts 1/1 Running 0 3s
      • If the S2I job pod is running properly, go to 1.d.
      • If the S2I job pod is not running properly, go to 2.
    4. If the S2I job pod is running properly, run the following command to query the number of S2I pods:

      kubectl get pod -nsource2image |grep s2ijob|wc -l

Check whether the number of S2I job pods exceeds the maximum allowed number (80 x 0.8 = 64).

      • If the number exceeds 64, go to 1.e.
      • If the number does not exceed 64, go to 2.
    5. Check the status of the construction task execution using S2I.

Use PuTTY to log in to the managed node as the op_svc_swr user and run the following command to view the construction log to check whether the construction task execution using S2I is normal:

      cd /var/paas/sys/log/build/buildworker.log

      • If the construction task execution using S2I is normal, wait until the execution is complete. Then new construction tasks can be executed using S2I.
      • If the construction task execution using S2I is not normal, go to 2.
    6. Check whether the alarm is cleared.
      • If the alarm is cleared, no further action is required.
      • If the alarm is not cleared, go to 2.

  2. Contact technical support for other issues.

Alarm Clearing

After the fault is rectified, and new construction tasks can be executed using S2I, the system automatically clears the alarm.
