Impact on the System

The microservice cannot run properly. As a result, the overall system performance may deteriorate.

Possible Causes

  • The database service is not started.
  • The network is abnormal.

Procedure

  1. Possible cause 1: The database service is not started.

    1. Refer to Logging In to the eBackup Server to log in to eBackup-Manager or backup server.
    2. Run the su root command. Enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. Run the ps -ef | grep gaussdb command to check whether the database process exists.
      • If yes, 2.
      • If no, 1.d.
    4. Run the sh /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/bin/gaussdb_sandbox.sh restart command to restart the database service.
    5. Wait for about 3 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared on the current alarm page.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, 2.

  2. Possible cause 2: The network is abnormal.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the eBackup server as user hcp using the IP address of the server that reports the alarm.

      Default account: hcp. Default password: PXU9@ctuNov17!.

    2. Run the su root command. Enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. Run the cat /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/microservice/ebk_xxx/conf/hcpconf.ini | grep Loadbalance command to obtain the floating IP address. ebk_xxx indicates the microservice name.
    4. If the IP address is an IPv4 address, run the ping Floating IP address command. If the IP address is an IPv6 address, run the ping6 Floating IP address command to check whether the network communication is normal.
      • If yes, contact technical support engineers.
      • If no, 2.e.
    5. Check whether the alarm is cleared on the current alarm page after the network fault is rectified.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, contact technical support engineers.
