ALM-25003 LdapServer Floating IP Address Does Not Belong to the Cluster Management Plane

Description

After a system administrator modifies the LdapServer floating IP address and restarts the service, the system detects that the active LdapServer floating IP address. This alarm is generated when the LdapServer floating IP address does not belong to the cluster management plane.

This alarm is cleared when the LdapServer floating IP address in Manager belongs to the cluster management plane and the alarm is handled.

NOTE:

This alarm is not supported since V100R002C60U10.

Impact on the System

User management, rights management, and security authentication services in Manager are abnormal.

Possible Causes

LdapServer floating IP planning is incorrect in the cluster. The floating IP address does not belong to the management plane of the cluster.

Procedure

Check whether the LdapServer floating IP address in Manager belongs to the cluster management plane.

  1. Log in to the FusionInsight Manager.

    1. Log in to the ManageOne OM plane using a browser, then choose Alarms.
      • Login address: https://URL for the homepage of the ManageOne OM plane:31943. Example: https://oc.type.com:31943.
      • Default username: admin, default password: Huawei12#$.
    2. In the alarm list, locate and click the target alarm name in the Name column. The Alarm Details and Handling Recommendations dialog box is displayed.
    3. Locate the value in the IP Address/URL/Domain Name column, which is the float IP address of the FusionInsight Manager.
    4. Log in to the FusionInsight Manager using a browser.
      • Login address: https://float IP address of the FusionInsight Manager:28443/web. Example: https://10.10.192.100:28443/web.
      • Default username: admin, default password: obtain it from the system administrator.

  2. On the FusionInsight Manager portal, choose Services > LdapServer > Service Configuration. Record the value of LDAP_FLOAT_IP as IP1.
  3. Contact O&M personnel to check whether IP1 belongs to the cluster management plane network segment.

    • If yes, go to 5.
    • If no, go to 4.

  4. Contact O&M personnel to check whether IP1 can communicate with the cluster management plane.

    • If yes, go to 5.
    • If no, go to 6.

  5. Log in to the FusionInsight Manager portal, choose Alarm. Find ALM-25003 LdapServer Floating IP Address Does Not Belong to the Cluster Management Plane and manually clear it.

    • If the alarm is successfully cleared, no further action is required.
    • If the alarm fails to be cleared, go to 10.

  6. Contact O&M personnel to apply for a floating IP address that belongs to the cluster management plane, choose Services > LdapServer > Service Configuration, and set LDAP_FLOAT_IP to the newly applied IP address.
  7. Click Save Configuration.
  8. Select Restart the role instance. and click OK.
  9. In the alarm list, check whether ALM-25003 LdapServer Floating IP Address Does Not Belong to the Cluster Management Plane is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 10.

Collect fault information.

  1. On the FusionInsight Manager portal, choose System > Log Download.
  2. Select LdapServer from the Services drop-down list box, and click OK.
  3. Set Start time for log collection to 1 hour ahead of the alarm generation time and End time to 1 hour behind the alarm generation time, and click Download.
  4. Contact Technical Support and send the collected logs.

Alarm Clearing

After the fault is rectified, the system automatically clears this alarm.
