Possible Causes

  • The network to the production end is interrupted.
  • The storage unit is inaccessible.
  • The storage device does not have enough free space.

Procedure

  1. Possible cause 1: The network between the backup proxy and production end is interrupted.

    1. On the current alarm page,check whether the alarm whose ID is 0x10E0140000 (Failed To Connect To The Protected Environment) or 0x10E0140001 (Failed To Scan A Protected Environment) is reported.
      • If yes, handle the alarm described in 1.a to ensure that the network connection between the backup proxy and production end is in the normal state.
      • If no, 2.

  2. Possible cause 2: The storage unit is inaccessible.

    1. On the current alarm page, check whether the alarm whose ID is 0x10E00E0000 (Storage Unit Disconnected) or 0x10E00E0001 (Storage Unit Inaccessible) is reported.
      • If yes, handle the alarm described in 2.a to ensure that the storage unit is accessible.
      • If no, 3.

  3. Possible cause 3: The storage device does not have enough free space.

    1. Log in to the backup server GUI using a browser.

      Login address: https://IP address corresponding to the datamover_management_float_ip field:8088

      Default account: admin. Default password: Cloud12#$ for installation using HUAWEI CLOUD Stack Deploy, and PXU9@ctuNov17! for manual installation.

    2. Choose Monitor > Task to view the backup plan name of the failed job.
    3. Choose Backup > Backup Plan and locate the corresponding repository based on the backup plan name in 3.b.
    4. Choose Backup Storage > Repository and locate the corresponding storage unit based on the repository in 3.c.
    5. Choose Backup Storage > Storage Unit to go to the storage unit page, refresh the storage unit list, and find the storage unit described in 3.d.
    6. Check whether the available capacity of the storage unit is greater than 4 MB.
      • If yes, 3.g.
      • If no, expand the capacity of the storage unit.
    7. On the current alarm page, check whether the alarm whose ID is 0x10E00C0000 (Insufficient Repository Space) or ID is 0x2010E00E0006 (Storage Unit Is Full) is reported.
      • If yes, clear the alarm described in 3.g to ensure that the capacity of the repository is sufficient.
      • If no, 3.h.
    8. Back up the protected object again and check whether the backup is successful.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, contact technical support engineers.
