Possible Causes

The eBackup server is disconnected from the NTP server.

Procedure

  1. Possible cause 1: The network connection between the eBackup server and NTP server is interrupted.

    1. Use the PuTTY to log in to the eBackup server through the IP address reported by the alarm.

      Default account: hcp. Default password: PXU9@ctuNov17!.

    2. Run the su root command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. If the IP address is an IPv4 address, run the ping ntp_server_ip -c 3 >/dev/null; echo $? command. If the IP address is an IPv6 address, run the ping6 ntp_server_ip -c 3 >/dev/null; echo $? command and check whether the command output is 0.
      • If yes, the eBackup server automatically synchronizes time with the NTP server.
      • If no, contact technical support engineers.
