Description

Service OM checks the certificate validity of Service OM and FusionSphere OpenStack every day by default. This alarm is generated when a certificate has not taken effect, is about to expire, or has expired.

Fault Location Info

Certificate: specifies the name of a certificate that is about to expire or has not taken effect or has expired.

Additional Info

Service: specifies the service for which the alarm is generated. The value is fixed at OM.

MicroService: specifies the microservice for which the alarm is generated. The value is fixed at Fault.

SartTime: specifies the time when the license becomes effective.

EndTime: specifies the time when the license becomes ineffective.

Detail: specifies the time when the certificate is about to expire or has not taken effect or has expired.

Impact on the System

If a certificate has expired and certificate authentication is enabled, the service and the CLI will become unavailable.

Possible Causes

  • The certificate does not take effect. The alarm severity is critical.
  • The certificate will be expired in 30 days. The alarm severity is major.
  • The certificate will be expired in 7 days. The alarm severity is critical.
  • The certificate has expired. The alarm severity is critical.

Procedure

  1. Check the alarm details and determine the certificate status based on the start time and end time of the certificate.

  2. Update the following certificates by referring to the following in HUAWEI CLOUD Stack 6.5.0 Security Management Guide:

    • Restoring the FusionSphere OpenStack SSL Certificates
    • Restoring the FusionSphere-Keystone PKI Certificates
    • Replacing the HA Service Authentication Certificate of Service OM
    • Replacing the Nginx Certificate of the Web Server of Service OM
    • Replacing the Database Certificate of the Service OM Node
    • Replacing the Service OM backup-client Certificate

  3. After all required certificates are replaced, wait for 10 minutes and check whether the alarm is automatically cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 4.

  4. Contact technical support for assistance.
