ALM-6025 Data Store Usage Exceeds the Threshold

Description

FusionSphere OpenStack periodically (default interval: 5 minutes) checks the data store usage. This alarm is generated when the data store usage is greater than or equal to the specified alarm threshold.

NOTE:
  • The default alarm threshold offset is 5%. The default alarm thresholds are as follows:
    • Critical: Data store usage > 95%
    • Major: 90% < Data store usage ≤ 95%
    • Minor: 85% < Data store usage ≤ 90%
    • Warning: 80% < Data store usage ≤ 85%
  • This alarm applies only to storage used by FusionSphere OpenStack, such as Huawei disk arrays and FusionStorage. To check whether the alarm is generated for storage used by FusionCompute or vCenter, see corresponding management software.

Impact on the System

Storage performance deteriorates. If the storage space is insufficient, no storage resources are available in the system.

Possible Causes

Excessive storage resources are used, resulting in resource insufficiency.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the backend storage name based on the Fault Location Info and expand the capacity of the storage pool. If the storage pool uses SAN devices as the backend storage, expand the capacity by performing operations provided in the SAN device product documentation of the target version at https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/.   2. After the data store usage drops below 80%, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.
