Possible Causes

  • The database synchronization progress is lower than the specified progress (90% by default).
  • The database synchronization time is smaller than the specified time (10 minutes by default).

Procedure

  1. Possible cause 1: The database synchronization progress is lower than the specified progress (90% by default).

    1. Log in to the backup manager or backup server GUI using a browser.

      Login address: https://IP address corresponding to the Workflow-Management-Float-IP field or IP address corresponding to the datamover_management_float_ip field:8088

      Default account: admin. Default password: Cloud12#$ for installation using HUAWEI CLOUD Stack Deploy, and PXU9@ctuNov17! for manual installation.

    2. Choose Monitor > Server. The Server page is displayed. Obtain the IP addresses of the primary and standby nodes in HA mode.
    3. Use PuTTY to log in to the primary HA node as user hcp.

      Default account: hcp. Default password: PXU9@ctuNov17!.

    4. Run the su root command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    5. Run the vi /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/conf/db_sync.conf command to open the db_sync.conf file and check whether the value of sync_progress is smaller than the value of allow_sync_progress.
      • If yes, contact technical support engineers.
      • If no, 2.

  2. Possible cause 2: The database synchronization time is smaller than the specified time (10 minutes by default).

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the primary HA node.

      Default account: hcp. Default password: PXU9@ctuNov17!.

    2. Run the su root command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root.

      The default password of user root is Cloud12#$.

    3. Run the vi /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/conf/db_sync.conf command to open the db_sync.conf file and check whether the difference between the value of sync_time and the current time is smaller than the value of allow_sync_time.
      • If yes, 3.
      • If no, contact technical support engineers.

  3. Restart the services on the primary and standby HA nodes.

    1. Log in to the primary and standby HA nodes as user hcp.
    2. Run the su root command and enter the password of user root to switch to user root.
    3. Run the /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/bin/db_sync_monitor.sh get_status command on the primary and standby nodes to check the node status.
    4. If the roles of the two nodes are Primary and Standby, respectively, go to 3.e. If the roles of the two nodes are Primary, go to 3.h.
    5. Run the service hcp stop command on the standby node to stop the services on the standby node.
    6. Run the service hcp restart force command on the primary node to forcibly restart services on the primary node.
    7. After the services on the primary node are restarted, run the service hcp start command on the standby node to start the services on the standby node. Then go to 4.
    8. Run the cd /opt/huawei-data-protection/ebackup/ha/module/hacom/script command on the active and standby nodes to go to the script directory.
    9. Run the sh status_ha.sh command on the active and standby nodes in sequence to obtain the StartTime field from the command output.
    10. Run the service hcp stop command to stop the services on the node whose value of StartTime has a larger interval with the current time.
    11. Run the service hcp restart force command to forcibly restart the services on the node whose value of StartTime has a smaller interval with the current time.
    12. After the services on the node whose value of StartTime has a smaller interval with the current time are restarted, run the service hcp start command on the node far from StartTime. Then go to 4.

  4. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    1. Wait for about 3 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared on the current alarm page.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, contact technical support engineers.
