ALM-70128 Usage of Split NVMe SSDs Exceeds the Threshold

ALM-70128 Usage of Split NVMe SSDs Exceeds the Threshold

Description

FusionSphere OpenStack periodically (every 5 minutes by default) checks the usage of split NVMe SSDs in a host group. This alarm is generated when the usage of split NVMe SSDs reaches 85% in the host group.

This alarm is cleared when the usage of split NVMe SSDs is reduced to 70%.

Parameters

Name

Meaning

Fault Location Info

  • aggregate_id: specifies the ID of the host group to which the split NVMe SSD belongs.
  • SSD_type: specifies the type of the SSD card for which the alarm is generated.

Additional Info

  • Service: specifies the service for which the alarm is generated.
  • MicroService: specifies the microservice for which the alarm is generated.
  • total: specifies the total capacity of split NVMe SSDs.
  • used: specifies the used capacity of split NVMe SSDs.
  • threshold: specifies the capacity threshold of split NVMe SSDs.

Impact on the System

VMs with split NVMe SSDs installed may fail to create due to insufficient resources of split NVMe SSDs.

Possible Causes

The usage of split NVMe SSDs in the host group is too high.

Procedure

  1. Expand the capacity of the split NVMe SSDs or release the excessive VMs that use split NVMe SSDs to release the disk resources.
  2. After you release the disk resources or expand the disk capacity and the usage of split NVMe SSDs is lower than 70%, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. If any of the preceding operations fails, contact technical support for assistance.
