This alarm is reported when the number of nodes in the data zone of the shared cluster exceeds the value of cluster_manage_scale.

Possible Causes

The number of nodes managed in the shared cluster exceeds the maximum allowed.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the value of the installation parameter cluster_manage_scale.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the manage_lb1_ip node.

      The default username is paas, and the default password is QAZ2wsx@123!.

    2. Run the following command to obtain value of the value parameter, which is the value of cluster_manage_scale:

      cat /var/paas/kubernetes/manifests/kube-controller-manager.manifest | grep -A 1 SCAL

      The following information is displayed:

      - name: CLUSTER_MANAGE_SCALE
        value: "11"

  2. Obtain the number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster.

    1. Run the following command and enter the password of the root user to switch to the root user:

      su - root

      Default password: QAZ2wsx@123!

    2. Run the following command to obtain the number of nodes in the management zone of the cluster:

      kubectl get node -l kubernetes.io/fsnodetype=fsmanagenode|grep -v NAME| wc -l

    3. Run the following command to obtain the total number of nodes in the cluster:

      kubectl get node |grep -v NAME| wc -l

    4. Calculate the number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster.

      Calculation formula: Number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster = Total number of nodes in the cluster – Number of nodes in the management zone of the cluster

      Number of nodes in the management zone of the cluster is the number obtained in 2.b. Total number of nodes in the cluster is the number obtained in 2.c.

    For example, if the number of nodes in the management zone of the cluster is 13 and the total number of nodes in the cluster is 29, the number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster is 16.

  3. Calculate the number of nodes that need to be deleted from the managed node list.

    Calculation formula: Number of nodes to be deleted from the managed node list = Number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster – Value of cluster_manage_scale

    Number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster is the number calculated in 2.d. Value of cluster_manage_scale is obtained in 1.

    For example, if the number of nodes in the data zone of the cluster is 16 and the value of cluster_manage_scale is 11, the number of nodes to be deleted from the managed node list is 5.

  4. Delete these nodes from the managed node list.

    1. Use a browser to log in to the FusionStage OM zone console.
      1. Log in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal.
        • Login address: https://Address for accessing the homepage of ManageOne Maintenance Portal:31943, for example, https://oc.type.com:31943.
        • The default username is admin, and the default password is Huawei12#$.
      2. On the O&M Maps page, click the FusionStage link under Quick Links to go to the FusionStage OM zone console.
    2. Choose Project Management > Resource > Node from the main menu.
    3. In the node list, select the nodes to be deleted, and click Delete.

      Confirm the deletion as prompted to delete the selected nodes. If these nodes are not displayed in the node list, they have been deleted from the managed node list.

  5. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, no further action is required.
    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to 6.

  6. Contact technical support for assistance.

Alarm Clearing

This alarm will be automatically cleared after the fault is rectified.
