Source Alarm Information

Indicates the information about the source alarms that generate the aggregated alarm, including the source alarms, alarm sources of source alarms, and key parameters set in the aggregation rule.

Impact on System

The alarm processing efficiency of the server is hindered.

Possible Causes

  • The alarm threshold for aggregation rules is inappropriate.
  • The NE is in the commissioning state or is faulty; therefore, it reports a large number of alarms in a short period.

Procedure

  1. Choose Alarms > Current Alarms from the main menu.
  2. In the alarm list, click an alarm name. On the tab page that is displayed, click Alarm Details and Handling Recommendations. In the Other area, view Alarm Matched Rule Name.
  3. Choose Alarms > Alarm Settings from the main menu.
  4. Choose Aggregation Rules from the navigation pane and check the triggering condition of the rule whose name is the same as the rule obtained in 2.

    • If the trigger conditions for aggregation are not set properly, modify the settings and manually clear the aggregated alarms. Then, check whether the alarms are reported repeatedly. If no, no further action is required. If yes, go to 5.
    • If the triggering conditions are set properly, go to 5.

  5. Check whether the NE is in the commissioning state.

    • If yes: After the commissioning is complete, manually clear aggregated alarms and check whether the alarms are reported repeatedly. If no alarm is reported repeatedly, no further action is required. If alarms are reported repeatedly, go to 6.
    • If no, go to 6.

  6. Check whether the NE is running properly.

    • If yes: After the fault is rectified, manually clear aggregated alarms and check whether the alarms are reported repeatedly. If no alarm is reported repeatedly, no further action is required. If alarms are reported repeatedly, go to 7.
    • If no, go to 7.

  7. Contact Huawei technical support.

Alarm Clearance

After the fault is rectified, manually clear the alarm.
