Alarm Description

This alarm is reported when the vMemory allocation rate of a location (such as a region, resource pool, AZ, or cluster) reaches or exceeds the threshold.

Impact on System

ECS service provisioning may be affected by vMemory resource insufficiency.

Possible Causes

  • The alarm threshold for the vMemory allocation rate is low.
  • The vMemory resources at the corresponding location are insufficient.

Handling Procedure

  1. Check the alarm thresholds of vMemory allocation rate.

    1. Log in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal using a browser.

      Default account: admin; default password: Huawei12#$

    2. Choose Monitoring Center > Monitoring Configuration from the main menu.
    3. In the navigation pane, choose Capacity Threshold Maintenance.
    4. Check whether the alarm thresholds for vMemory allocation rate are proper according to the default threshold of each alarm severity.
      • If yes, a few vCPUs can be used, go to 3.
      • If no, go to 2.

  2. Reset the alarm thresholds of vMemory allocation rate.

    1. Click Modify in the Operation column to modify the thresholds.
    2. Wait for 10 minutes. Choose Alarms > Current Alarms from the main menu. On the displayed page, check whether the alarm is cleared.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, after the alarm severity decreases, the alarm still exists and the updating information will be synchronized to Last Occurred on the system. Go to 3.

  3. Contact the administrator to expand the capacities of vMemory resources by referring section "Expanding Computing Resources" in HUAWEI CLOUD Stack 6.5.0 Capacity Expansion Guide.

Alarm Clearance

After the fault is rectified, the alarm is automatically cleared.
