Stopping a Microservice

This section uses DeployCoreService as an example to describe how to stop a microservice.

Procedure

  1. Query the node where the target microservice is deployed.

    1. Choose Deployment > Microservice Deployment > Environments.
    2. In the upper-right corner of the displayed page, select All from the first drop-down list and Product from the second drop-down list and enter DeployCoreService in the search box.
    3. Click DeployCoreService/regionAlias in the Environment area.
    4. In the Node List area, view the node where DeployCoreService is deployed.

  2. Stop DeployCoreService.

    1. Log in to the node where DeployCoreService is deployed as sopuser and run the following command to switch to the ossadm user:

      su - ossadm

    2. Run the following commands to stop DeployCoreService:

      . /opt/oss/manager/bin/engr_profile.sh

      ipmc_adm -cmd stopapp -app DeployCoreService

    NOTE:

    If DeployCoreService is deployed in active/standby mode, stop DeployCoreService on both the active and standby nodes.

  3. Check whether the microservice is successfully stopped by following the instructions provided in Checking the Microservice Running Status.
