It is a subset of the O&M Management service, including data about the Elasticsearch service threshold alarms and periodic report services.

Each backup policy corresponds to different services. Data about each service is distributed in databases of the following types:

  • Gauss database: stores data about Deployment System Timer, Deployment System Framework, Deployment System, and IAM. Such data is called Gauss database service data.
  • Zenith database: stores data about O&M Management, Operation Management, and Unified Log Center. Such data is called Zenith database service data.
  • Elasticsearch database: stores data about the Elasticsearch O&M management service.
Prerequisites
  • You have logged in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal.
Login address: https://Floating IP address of ManageOne Maintenance Portal:31943. For example, if the IPv4 address is used, the login address is https://192.168.0.5:31943.
    NOTE:

In the DR scenario, the backup policy needs to be configured for both the data center A (production center) and data center B (DR center).

    • Floating IP address for logging in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal in the data center A (production center) in the Management Plane DR Failover scenario: uses the value of ManageOne-OM-Float-IP on the 2.1 Tool-generated IP Parameters sheet of the xxx_export_all_EN.xlsm file exported during ManageOne installation in the data center A (production center).
    • Floating IP address for logging in to ManageOne Maintenance Portal in the data center B (DR center) in the Management Plane DR Failover scenario: uses the value of ManageOne-OM-Float-IP on the 2.1 Tool-generated IP Parameters sheet of the xxx_export_all_EN.xlsm file exported during ManageOne installation in the data center B (DR center).
  • Ensure that the IP address of the backup server pings the IP address of the database node.

You have obtained the IP address of the database node by referring to Checking the IP Address of the Database Node.

  • When the backup server uses the SFTP transmission mode:
    • You have prepared an SFTP backup server by referring to Preparing the SFTP Server. The backup server must run Linux.
    • You have obtained the IP address and port number of the backup server, the username and password of the SFTP protocol, and the storage path for the backup files.
Procedure

Setting backup server parameters

  1. Choose System > Backup and Restoration from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Backup Policy.
  3. Click in the Please set backup server parameters first area to go the Set Backup Server Parameters dialog box.

Table 3-8 describes parameters to be configured.

    NOTE:
    • Click in the Backup Server Parameters area. In the displayed dialog box, set Delete backup task as required and then click OK to delete the existing backup server parameters.

If a restoration task is being executed, the backup server parameters cannot be deleted. Delete the parameters after the restoration task is complete.

    • After the backup server is replaced or the parameters of the backup server are deleted, the previously configured backup tasks cannot be restored.

    Table 3-8 Parameter description

    Remote Backup Protocol

    Backup Server

    Parameter

    Description

    Remarks

    SFTP

    SFTP server

    Server IP Address

Indicates the IP address of the SFTP server.

    1. ManageOne provides only basic SFTP upload and download capabilities. The SFTP configurations and server establishment are ensured by users.
    2. To back up a server, ensure that the SFTP server is available and that the remote backup directory exists and is readable and writable to SFTP users.
    3. After the parameters are set, click Test to verify the settings.
    4. ManageOne only supports SFTP servers running Linux and EulerOS.

    Port Number

Indicates the port of the SFTP server.

    Username

Indicates the username for logging in to the SFTP server.

    Password

Indicates the password for logging in to the SFTP server.

    Backup Path

Indicates the backup path of the SFTP server. Set this parameter based on the site requirements. It is the relative path to the user-writable directory of the SFTP server. For example, if the absolute backup path of the OS is /datas/backup/sftpuser and the user-writable directory of the SFTP server is /datas/backup, set this parameter to /sftpuser.

    NOTE:

To ensure the normal running of the Management Plane DR Failover, you need to prepare an SFTP backup server for backing up ManageOne data. The backup server must be deployed in a region other than the running data center, and the backup server parameters of the data center A (production center) and data center B (DR center) must be the same. Example:

    • It is recommended that data is backed up in the data center B (DR center) when the data center A (production center) is running and is backed up in the data center A (production center) when the data center B (DR center) is running.
    • Data can also be backed up in regions other than the data center A (production center) and data center B (DR center).

  4. After the parameters are set, click OK.

Changing the backup time and the retention days of backup files

  1. Click in the upper right corner of the backup policy list, change Backup Time and Backup File Storage Period (days), and click to save the modification.

    NOTE:
    • The scheduled backup task is delivered every 10 minutes, on the hour. For example, if Backup Time is set to 8:03, the backup file is backed up at 8:10, which is the same as the backup task delivery time.
    • Backup files within the retention days must contain data that can be restored. Otherwise, the system does not automatically clear the data generated before the retention days.

Modifying a backup policy

  1. To modify a backup policy, click on the right of the backup policy. On the displayed page, modify the backup policy.

    NOTE:
    • In the Management Plane DR Failover scenario, change the backup period of the O&M Management, Operation Management, IAM, Unified Log Center, SFTP Operation SDR, and ES backup policies to 1 hour.
    • To stop a backup policy, click on the right of the backup policy.
    • To start a backup policy, click on the right of the backup policy.
