Currently, the restoration operations can be performed only in the following scenarios:

  • Less than half of the nodes in an etcd cluster fail. For example, the number of nodes in an etcd cluster is N. If the number of faulty nodes in the cluster is less than or equal to N/2 minus 1, you can perform the restoration operations.
  • All nodes in an etcd cluster fail.
