Table 1-4 lists the backup file names and paths of HUAWEI CLOUD Stack components and cloud services.

Backing up data using OpenStack

COMPONENTNAME-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-COUNT-TYPE.tar.gz

  • COMPONENTNAME specifies the name of the component to be backed up, for example, cbs.
  • YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS: specifies the backup time.
  • Count specifies the serial number of a backup file package.
  • TYPE specifies the backup package type. The value can be single or all.
    • single: indicates a package generated after backing up data for a single service.
    • all: indicates a package generated after backing up data for all services.

For example: cbs-2018-12-07-17-40-42-1-all.tar.gz

  • Local backup: /opt/backup, default size: 20 GB
NOTE:
  • The local backup directory can store only the backup package generated by the backup service. The backup service performs the active and standby verification every 2 minutes to ensure that the directory does not contain any file from unknown sources. If users have manually modified data in the backup package or the backup directory stores other files, the modified data and the files are automatically deleted.
  • You can run the rm Backup file command to delete the local backup package. However, the backup package can automatically restore from ZooKeeper after 2 minutes. Run the backup package-delete command to delete the local backup package.
  • Third-party backup: The backup mode is specified by the user.

Service OM

Service OM backup

gmdb-YYYY-MM-DD-COUNT.dump

  • YYYY-MM-DD: specifies the backup time.
  • Count specifies the serial number of a backup file package.

For example: gmdb-2018-08-31-3.dump

Local backup:
  • Automatic backup files: /opt/gmbackup/db/
  • Manual backup files: /opt/gmbackup/db/manualbk/
  • Backup files automatically generated on the first day of each month: /opt/gmbackup/db/autobakm/

  • Full backup file: [Database instance name]-[timestamp].sql

    For example: admindbsvr-20180325163512.sql

    Indicates the full backup file generated by the O&M management service at 2018-03-25 16:35:12.

  • The rule for naming the backup files of the database service is as follows:

    Full backup file: [Database instance name]-[timestamp].tar.gz

    For example: admindbsvr-20180325163512.tar.gz

    Indicates the full backup file generated by the O&M management service at 2018-03-25 16:35:12.

  • The rule for naming the backup files of the SFTP operation CDR service database is as follows: [Timestamp][Serial number]

    For example: 20180514114043970.tar

    Indicates the SFTP operation CDR service backup file generated at 2018-05-14 11:40:43. The serial number is 970.

  • The rule for naming the backup files of the ES service database is as follows: snapshot-[timestamp].dat

    For example: snapshot-20180526152621.dat

    Indicates the ES service backup file generated at 2018-05-26 15:26:21.

Database file

  • The backup file name cannot contain Chinese characters.
  • The backup files are named in the following format:

    [Region ID][Backup mode][Service name][Year][Month][Day][SN]

    Some parameters are described as follows:

    • Region ID: indicates the ID of the region.
    • Backup mode: indicates the backup method, which can be FAT (automatic backup) or FMT (manual backup).
    • Service name: indicates the database node of a service. Typically, the value is Service name.
      NOTE:

      The names of the services that are deployed together are associated with a hyphen (-). For example: METERTICKET-VPC-CCS-TASKMGR-CONSOLE-TASKCENTER

    • SN: indicates the serial number. The value is in D+Three-digit number format, and the three-digit number ranges from 001 to 999.

    The following is a command example:

  • XXFAT-METERTICKET-VPC-CCS-TASKMGR-CONSOLE-TASKCENTER-20180418D001.tar.gz

    The name indicates that an automatic backup file 001 is created on April 18 2018 for the database node of the metering CDR, virtual private cloud, cloud configuration service, combined API, API gateway, and task center service deployed in the XX area.

  • XXFAT-YY-20150601D004.tar.gz

    This name indicates that an automatic backup is created on June 1, 2015 for the database node of the YY service in the XX region and that the backup file SN is 004.

Backup files can be stored in a local directory or be uploaded to a third-party backup server.

If a third-party backup server is configured, the system automatically uploads backup files to the third-party backup server after required data is automatically or manually backed up to the local directory.

The following table provides the path for storing backup files.

  • Local backup: /opt/backup/DB of the database node
  • Third-party backup server: Path configured on the third-party backup server

Database file

The backup files are named in the following format:

[Region ID][Backup mode]-[Service name]-[Year][Month][Day][SN]

Some parameters are described as follows:

  • [Region ID]: indicates the ID of the region.
  • Backup mode: indicates the backup method, which can be FAT (automatic backup) or FMT (manual backup).

FusionStorageManager-Backup specifies the default prefix of the backup file name, and the file name varies depending on the actual environment.

Local backup:
  • Automatic backup: /opt/dsware/manager/backup of the FusionStorage Manager (FSM) node
    NOTE:

    Log in to the FSM node as user root and run the cat /opt/dsware/manager/webapps/dsware/WEB-INF/BackupConf.properties command.

    The command output is as follows, and information to the right of backupFileDir is the automatic backup directory:

    ... backupFileDir=/opt/dsware/manager/backup ...
  • Manual backup: /opt/dsware/manager/backup/manual of the FSM node
    NOTE:

    The manual backup path is the manual directory in the automatic backup path.

Third-party backup:

    • Windows OS: Directory configured on the FTPS server\CloudComputing\DswareMgr_FSM floating IP address

DR & Backup Service

eBackup configuration file (CSBS/VBS)

  • Backup operation type: F (full backup) or I (incremental backup)

Some parameters are described as follows:

  • [Region ID]: indicates the ID of the region.
  • Backup mode: indicates the backup method, which can be FAT (automatic backup) or FMT (manual backup).
  • Service name: The SCC background is SCC.
  • Node type: DB, indicating the SCC-DB node.
  • SN: indicates the serial number. The value is in D + Three-digit number format, and the three-digit number ranges from 001 to 999. 001 is the smallest value.
  • IP indicates the IP address of the eth0 network adapter on the current node.

For example, the backup file region01FMTSCCDB20170527020021D001192.168.1.1.tar.gz indicates the manual backup file D001 of the SCC-DB node on the SCC server at 192.168.1.1 generated in region01 at 02:00:21 on May 27, 2017.

  • Local backup server:
