ELB Management Plane Service Exception

ELB Management Plane Service Exception

Symptom

Services on the ELB management plane are running improperly.

Possible Causes

  • The Nginx process on the elb_api node is abnormal.
  • The Nginx process on the elb_lvs node is abnormal.
  • The Nginx process on the elb_nginx node is abnormal.
  • The ETCD process on the elb_etcd node is abnormal.
  • The database process on the ELB database node is abnormal.

Procedure

Check whether the Nginx process on the elb_api node is running properly.

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the netcluster_elb_api_vm_1_01 node.

The default username is elb and the default password is cnp200@HW.

  2. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is running properly:

    ps -ef|grep nginx
    • If yes, the following information is displayed. Go to 5.
      elb@linux-ZPJYwo:~> ps -ef|grep nginx
      elb 11438 10645 0 03:03 pts/2 00:00:00 grep nginx
      elb 73949 1 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:00 nginx: master process /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx
      elb 73950 73949 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:48 nginx: worker process
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Run the following commands to start the Nginx process:

    cd /usr/local/NSP/etc/elb/bin

    ./elb_process.sh start

  4. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is running properly:

    ps -ef|grep nginx
    • If yes, the following information is displayed. Go to 5.
      elb@linux-ZPJYwo:~> ps -ef|grep nginx
      elb 11438 10645 0 03:03 pts/2 00:00:00 grep nginx
      elb 73949 1 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:00 nginx: master process /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx
      elb 73950 73949 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:48 nginx: worker process
    • If no, contact technical support for assistance.

  5. Log in to the netcluster_elb_api_vm_1_02 node and repeat 2 to 4.

Check whether the Nginx process of the elb_lvs node and elb_nginx node is running properly.

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the netcluster_elb_lvs_vm_1_01 node.

The default username is elb and the default password is cnp200@HW.

  2. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is running properly:

    ps -ef|grep nginx

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 8.

  3. Run the following command to start the Nginx process:

    /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx

  4. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is running properly:

    ps -ef|grep nginx
    • If yes, the following information is displayed. No further action is required.
      elb@linux-ZPJYwo:~> ps -ef|grep nginx
      elb 11438 10645 0 03:03 pts/2 00:00:00 grep nginx
      elb 73949 1 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:00 nginx: master process /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx
      elb 73950 73949 0 Aug03 ? 00:00:48 nginx: worker process
    • If no, contact technical support for assistance.

  5. Log in to the netcluster_elb_lvs_vm_1_02 node, the netcluster_elb_nginx_vm_1_01 node, and the netcluster_elb_nginx_vm_1_02 node separately, and repeat 7 to 9.
  6. For details about how to troubleshoot elb_etcd node faults, see elb_etcd Node Service Exception.
