Instance Creation Faults

Tenant Quota Is Insufficient

Symptom

The VDC quota is insufficient when an instance is created.

Troubleshooting Process
  1. Log in to ManageOne as an operation administrator using a browser.

    • URL in the non-B2B scenario: https://Address for accessing ManageOne Operation Portal, for example, https://console.demo.com

      URL in the B2B scenario: https://Address for accessing ManageOne Operation Management Portal, for example, https://admin.demo.com

    • The default username of the operation administrator is bss_admin. The default password of the operation administrator is Changeme_123. If this is your first login to the system, change the password. If this is not your first login to the system, obtain the new password.

  2. Select your region from the drop-down list on the top menu bar.
  3. Choose Tenant > Tenant Management and select the tenant that fails to create an instance.
  4. Click Quota Management in the Operation column of the row containing the select tenant to view the tenant quota.
  5. Modify the tenant quota.
Fault Rectification

Create the instance again.

An Instance Fails to Be Created Due to Cluster Faults

Symptom

An internal error is displayed when a cluster is selected on the page for creating an instance.

Possible Causes

Cluster services are abnormal.

Troubleshooting Process
  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the EIS_PublicVM-Service1 and EIS_PublicVM-Service2 management VMs.

    Default username: hds; default password: Cloud12#$

  2. Run the following command to prevent PuTTY logout on system timeout:

    TMOUT=0

  3. Run the following commands to view backend logs:

    cd /opt/dbs/hds/log/run

    vi runtime.log

    Search for logs of the ERROR level.

Fault Rectification

Apply for an instance again and select a cluster. If no error message is displayed, the instance is successfully created.

FusionInsight Cluster Resources Are Insufficient

Symptom

An instance is successfully delivered during instance application, but the instance fails to be created.

Troubleshooting Process
  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the EIS_PublicVM-Service1 and EIS_PublicVM-Service2 management VMs.

    Default username: hds; default password: Cloud12#$

  2. Run the following command to prevent PuTTY logout on system timeout:

    TMOUT=0

  1. Run the following commands to view backend logs:

    cd /opt/dbs/hds/log/run

    vi runtime.log

  2. Use the order ID and query the ERROR level logs containing the CPU and memory information.
Fault Rectification

Contact the administrator.

Hive Client Cannot Be Used After the Hive Component Is Added

Symptom

After the Hive component is added, the Hive client cannot be normally used.

Troubleshooting Process
  1. Use the Hive component using the current client and authentication credential.

    An error is reported when the beeline command is executed.

  2. After required instances are modified and the Hive component is added, download the authentication credential again. Then, use the new authentication credential for the Hive client.

    The beeline command is executed successfully.

Fault Rectification

The Hive client can be used.
