Database Fails to Start Because the Hard Disk Is Lost


After nodes are power on, the hard disks mounted to the /opt directory are missing. After I mount the hard disks again, the Gauss process fails to be restarted.

Possible Causes

Hard disks are missing.

Troubleshooting Method

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the abnormal node.

    The default username is paas, and the default password is QAZ2wsx@123!.

  2. Run following commands to enter the /opt/paas/oss/manager/agent/bin directory:

    cd /opt/paas/oss/manager/agent/bin

  3. Run the following command to restart the gauss process:

    ./ipmc_adm -cmd startdc

  4. Run the following command to check whether gauss process exists:

    ps -ef | grep gauss

  5. If the fault persists, contact technical support for assistance.
