Configuring Trust Certificates of Browsers

If a browser displays a message similar to "This Connection is Untrusted", add a certificate to the browser trust list by following the instructions provided in this section. In a DR scenario, the certificates added to the primary and secondary sites must be the same.

Adding the Trust Certificate to the Trust List of Firefox

If the ER certificate of ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal is not in the trust list of a browser, the browser will display a message similar to "This Connection is Untrusted." when you log in to ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal using the browser. In this case, import the certificate by following the instructions provided in this section.

NOTE:

Operations on the browser may vary with browser versions but are similar to the examples in the following steps. You are advised to perform the operations based on actual situations.

Prerequisites

Trust certificates in .cer format are obtained, which includes the certificate (example: huaweiossCA.cer) issued by the root certification authorities, and the certificate (networkossCA.cer) issued by the intermediate certification authorities.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the Windows OS as a member of the Administrators user group and start Firefox.

    NOTE:

    If you start Firefox on the Windows 7 OS, choose Start > All Programs and right-click Mozilla Firefox and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.

  2. Click in the upper right corner of the Firefox window.
  3. Click .
  4. Choose Advanced in the navigation tree on the left, select Certificates in the right area, and click View Certificates.
  5. Choose Authorities in the Certificate Manager dialog box.
  6. Click Import and select the huaweiossCA.cer certificate issued by the root certification authorities.
  7. Select Trust this CA to identify websites in the Downloading Certificate dialog box. Click OK.
  8. Import the networkossCA.cer certificate issued by the intermediate certification authorities by referring to 6 to 7.
  9. Click OK in the Certificate Manager dialog box.
  10. Restart the Firefox browser and log in to ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal again.

    If Firefox does not display a message similar to "This Connection is Untrusted", the trust certificate is successfully imported. Otherwise, contact technical support for assistance.

Adding Trust Certificates to the Trust List of Internet Explorer or Chrome

If the ER certificate of ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal is not in the trust list of a browser, the browser will display an error message (for example, the security certificate is incorrect or is not trusted) when you log in to ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal using the browser. In this case, import the certificate by following the instructions provided in this section.

Prerequisites

Trust certificates in .cer format are obtained, which includes the certificate (example: huaweiossCA.cer) issued by the root certification authorities, and the certificate (networkossCA.cer) issued by the intermediate certification authorities.

Procedure
  1. Add the certificate issued by the root certification authorities.

    1. Double-click the huaweiossCA.cer certificate issued by the root certification authorities.
    2. On the General tab page, click Install Certificate.
    3. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.
    4. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse.
    5. In the Select Certificate Store dialog box, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK.

    6. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next and Finish.
    7. Carefully read the content in the Security Warning dialog box and click Yes.
    8. The Certificate Import Wizard dialog box appears, indicating that the file is imported successfully. Click OK.
    9. In the Certificate dialog box, click OK.

  2. Add the certificate issued by the intermediate certification authorities.

    1. Double-click the networkossCA.cer certificate issued by the intermediate certification authorities.
    2. On the General tab page, click Install Certificate.
    3. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next.
    4. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse.
    5. In the Select Certificate Store dialog box, select Intermediate Certification Authorities and click OK.

    6. In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, click Next and Finish.
    7. The Certificate Import Wizard dialog box appears, indicating that the file is imported successfully. Click OK.
    8. In the Certificate dialog box, click OK.

  3. Restart the browser and log in to ManageOne Deployment Portal, ManageOne Maintenance Portal, or ManageOne Operation Portal again.

    If the browser does not display a message indicating that the security certificate is incorrect or untrusted, the trust certificate is successfully imported. Otherwise, contact Huawei technical support.
