Service Switchback
Services are migrated from the A (production center) to the B (DR center) due to a recoverable fault such as an unexpected power failure. After the A (production center) recovers from the fault, you must synchronize data generated during the fault recovery period from the B (DR center) to the A (production center) and switch services back to the A (production center).
Prerequisites
- You have performed reprotection.
- The DR administrator has confirmed that the tenant, through Console, has performed tests and environment clearing for at least once on the recovery plan that requires service migration.
Procedure
- Log in to the ManageOne OM plane using a browser, click eReplication under to log in to eReplication.
- URL: https://Address for the homepage of the ManageOne OM plane:31943. For example: https://oc.type.com:31943.
- Default username: admin, default password: Huawei12#$.
If the login fails, use the following login address and eReplication account and password to log in to eReplication.
- Login address: https://IP address of eReplication:9443/src/login/view/login.html
The management plane IP address of an eReplication node can be obtained by querying the IP address of the eReplication_Server01 parameter in the exported LLD.
- The default account and password are admin and Admin@123, respectively.
- On eReplication, perform a planned migration.
This step aims to switch services back to the A (production center) from the B (DR center). After migration, data must be checked. For details, see Step 2 to Step 3 in section Planned Migration of Services in the Production Center.
- Perform reprotection.
Replicate data from the A (production center) to the B (DR center) and restore the status of the protected group.
- On the menu bar, select
Recovery.
- Select the recovery plan and click More > Reprotection on the Operation list.
- Carefully read the content of the Confirm dialog box that is displayed and click OK to confirm the information.
- If Save user configuration data is selected, self-defined protection policies and recovery settings, such as self-defined recovery steps, will be retained. Ensure that the configuration data has no adverse impact on service running after reprotection.
- When the protection policy of the recovery plan is Array-Based Replication (Asynchronous), the system forcibly selects Save user configuration data.
- In the Operation successful dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
- On the menu bar, select
