Planned Migration of Services in the Production Center

Prerequisites

• Data center A (production center) and data center B (DR center) communicate properly. The management system and the DR environment in the DR center are working properly.
• The DR administrator has confirmed that the tenant, through Console, has performed tests and environment clearing for at least once on the recovery plan that requires service migration.
• You have obtained the login address, account, and password for logging in to eReplication from the administrator.

Procedure

1. Log in to the ManageOne OM plane using a browser, click eReplication under Quick Links to log in to eReplication.
   • URL: https://Address for the homepage of the ManageOne OM plane:31943. For example: https://oc.type.com:31943.
   • Default username: admin, default password: Huawei12#$.

   If the login fails, use the following login address and eReplication account and password to log in to eReplication.

   • Login address: https://IP address of eReplication:9443/src/login/view/login.html

     The management plane IP address of an eReplication node can be obtained by querying the IP address of the eReplication_Server01 parameter in the exported LLD.

   • The default account and password are admin and Admin@123, respectively.

2. Perform planned migration to switch services from the A (production center) to B (DR center).
   1. On the menu bar, select Recovery.

   2. Select the recovery plan and choose More > Planned Migration on the Operation list.
   3. In the Warning dialog box that is displayed, read the content of the dialog box carefully and select I have read and understood the consequences associated with performing this operation and click OK.

   4. In the Sending the command succeeded dialog box that is displayed, click OK.

3. After the migration is complete, click Execution Records to check whether applications and data are normal.
   • If they are normal, go to Step 4.
   • If they are abnormal, contact technical support engineers.

4. Perform reprotection to protect services switched to the DR center. After the reprotection is complete, the protected groups become normal.

   After the planned migration is complete, the application system is working in the B (DR center) and protected groups become Invalid. You must perform reprotection to recover the replication status and synchronize the data from the B (DR center) to the A (production center). Then, the original B (DR center) becomes the new A (production center).

   1. On the menu bar, click Recovery.
   2. Select the recovery plan and click More > Reprotection on the Operation list.
   3. Carefully read the content of the Confirm dialog box that is displayed and click OK to confirm the information.
      • If Save user configuration data is selected, self-defined protection policies and recovery settings, such as self-defined recovery steps, will be retained. Ensure that the configuration data has no adverse impact on service running after reprotection.
      • When the protection policy of the recovery plan is Array-Based Replication (Asynchronous), the system forcibly selects Save user configuration data.
   4. In the Operation successful dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
