Planned Failback of Services in the DR Center
After services are switched from the production center to the DR center through planned migration, the services must be switched back to the A (production center) based on a drill plan.
Prerequisites
- The A (production center) communicates with the DR center properly. The management system and the DR environment in the DR center are working properly.
- Planned migration and reprotection have been successfully performed for the service system in the production center according to the recovery plan.
- The production VM is working properly and the service system in the original A (production center) is in standby state.
- The DR administrator has confirmed that the tenant, through Console, has performed tests and environment clearing for at least once on the recovery plan that requires service migration.
Procedure
- Log in to the ManageOne OM plane using a browser, click eReplication under to log in to eReplication.
- URL: https://Address for the homepage of the ManageOne OM plane:31943. For example: https://oc.type.com:31943.
- Default username: admin, default password: Huawei12#$.
If the login fails, use the following login address and eReplication account and password to log in to eReplication.
- Login address: https://IP address of eReplication:9443/src/login/view/login.html
The management plane IP address of an eReplication node can be obtained by querying the IP address of the eReplication_Server01 parameter in the exported LLD.
- The default account and password are admin and Admin@123, respectively.
- On eReplication of the DR center, perform a planned migration.
This step aims to switch services back to the A (production center) from the DR center. After the migration, check the data. For details, see Step 2 to Step 3 in section Planned Migration of Services in the Production Center.
- On eReplication of the DR center, perform reprotection.
After you complete the planned migration, the application systems are working in the original A (production center) and protected groups become Invalid. To ensure that the A (production center) can be recovered from the DR center in case an event (planned or unplanned) happens on it after the switchback, perform reprotection and recover the replication relationship between the A (production center) and the DR center to synchronize data and ensure that services are protected. For details, see Step 4 in section Planned Migration of Services in the Production Center.
Result
Once the reprotection is complete, the protected groups become normal.
